Code of Conduct

All participants of Belgian PowerAddicts (Organizer) events, are expected to abide by our anti-harassment policy, and conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner, to ensure that all can enjoy harassment-free events. The Organizer is dedicated to providing inclusive, respectful, safe, friendly, and welcoming events for all participants both offline and online. Participants include Organizer staff, sponsor staff, volunteers, speakers and attending delegates.

We expect all event participants to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct, which covers all in-person and online events and activities. We do not tolerate disruptive or disrespectful behaviour, messages, images, or interactions by any participant, in any form, at any aspect of an event program including business and social activities, regardless of location.

Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination (related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion), sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate language and/or physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Exhibitors in dedicated expo halls, sponsor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use asexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

Photography, video recording or screen- captures of session content or presentations in any format shared in social channels is prohibited when explicitly stated by the exhibitor or speaker

We encourage everyone to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the Organizer may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender and/or expulsion from the current event and future events, with no refund if applicable. If you are being harassed, if you notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please notify the Organizations’ staff immediately. At events, staff will be clearly identifiable. A Staff Member is always available before, during and after the event. The Organizer will be able to help participants contact venue security or relevant local law enforcement, provide escorts if requested, and/or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. At any online events if you are experiencing or witnessing anything that violates this code of conduct, please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, suspicious, or disruptive activity to the Organizer at  info@poweraddicts.be

We value your attendance and want Belgian PowerAddicts events to be a safe place for everybody.
